TV Serials are defaming the Indian Women.

In todays world when we flip Hindi channels with Saas Bahu drama and other family melo dramas, mostly its the women who is shown pitiable,she is weak, she is subject to eve teasing, subject to rape,living on the mercy of her in laws and husband.

The more backward and rural life of Indian bahu is depicted with veil, purdah system and her unequal status in society.

It was height when in one serial she was shown beaten by her husband by belts and she was crying, begging and holding his feet. What do the TV serial producers want to show, when we are trying to uplift women, these serials are putting a negative impact on our society.

In another serial a muslim women is shown to be in a terrifying state as his husband has given her 2 talaqs and she is about to receive the third one any time, leaving her life in most deserted world with nowhere to go.

Women shown in making conspiracies, having extra marital affairs are shown degrading her role in the society.

Only few serials like sawdhaan india and crime patrol are doing good work to create awareness and helping in minimising the crime.But in some households women are not allowed to watch these serials as they will educate them. Really this social mindset has to be changed, please I request all producers, story writers, kindly do not present a weak and merciful picture of Indian women. Don't make her weak, give her more strength, courage, help her in developing her own personality.Don't encourage men to become a beast.
Don't drag her to barbaric age in this modern world.
